Merrick House offers a second youth program, located in the Clark-Fulton neighborhood, for kids ages five to 17 years old. They are provided with a snack, given help with homework and can participate in activities that help build good character and strengthen social skills.

 Partnerships:

Those at Merrick House West participate in a distance learning program, made possible through a Time Warner Cable - Cleveland City Council Neighborhood Technology grant and in partnership with the Greater Cleveland NCA. With this program, kids from 5th through 8th grade can video conference with museums, zoos, and universities all over the United States and in foreign countries as well, for an interactive, educational lesson.

They also participate weekly in the Junior Achievement Curriculum, which teaches them workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy through hands-on programs.

This January, our Merrick House West Youth Program moved to our new home in the Family Ministry Center, at 3389 Fulton Road. We are excited to be a part of this lively building, which has many other activities for youth.
