Perhaps you are a college student in need of volunteer credit hours, a father wishing to be more involved in your child’s life, or a retiree who enjoys helping people. Whatever your situation, Merrick House in Cleveland’s Tremont area values people who are eager to provide friendly and reliable support to our clients and staff.
What is Merrick House? We are a vibrant neighborhood center that empowers people to get ahead and reach success through a variety of on-site and outreach programs. We offer an Early Education Program with dedicated age programs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers through our fully licensed, Step Up to Quality, Five-Star Rated Center. Our structured after-school Youth Program not only keeps kids safe, but focuses on developing leadership, entrepreneurship, and post-secondary readiness skills. For pregnant at-risk moms, we offer a nurturing MomsFirst Program to give women the support they need to increase their chances of having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. And for adults who need support with their personal education goals, we offer free Adult Education and Literacy Classes so they can create a better life for themselves and their families. In addition, Merrick House offers our neighbors a variety of Recreation and Community Outreach activities that along with our other core programs, help us LIFT LIVES and STRENGTHEN COMMUNITIES.
